Someone should help us

Rod and I should not be allowed to pick out colors for anything. We can't match colors. We think shades go together that monkeys deep in the Amazon rain forest know clash.
So we went and picked out colors for the outside of our house.
You heard me.
The OUTSIDE of our HOUSE.
It is as though we are actually advertising that WE CAN'T PICK OUT COLORS.
So.
We began painting the trim first. We kept encouraging each other with phrases like, "Well, that's bright, isn't it." Posed as a statement, not a question. Because people working at the International Space Station could see that, yes, it is bright.
After a while, I figured out that I recognized this particular color. It reminded me of something.
John Deere Green.
The color of farm implements and lawn mowers.
Bright, shiny new tractors.
In our defense, it is named by the Glidden paint people"Deep Waters."
Just a little FYI, Glidden paint people. It already had a name.
John Deere Green.
It is making us want to drink red, red wine.

Well, my boys LOVE anything John Deere. So they would love your house. At least you know there are 2 people on earth (even though they're under 4 feet tall) that would give you nothing but compliments on it :)

Maybe you should drink red, red wine and then go pick out colors...

You crack me up, girl. This reminds me of when my mom wanted to repaint the exterior of their house. She wanted a deep terra cotta color. She picked out her paint, hired the painters, and went out of town for a few days. When she and Dad returned home, they were shocked. Horrified, really. The paint looked VERY different from the tiny chip she had chosen. It turned out to be the exact color of the traffic signs that are used to indicate construction. We teased her for years that she had taken a "detour" from sanity when she chose the color or that she was a little "slow" the day she went shopping for paint or that her "right 'brain' (instead of lane) was closed ahead." Awful. Just awful. However, it is still that same color, so she must not have hated it TOO much!

I bet your John Deere Green house would be really pretty next to her traffic sign orange house!

How funny, it takes me a long time to pick my colors because I want them to be just right.

Have a blessed day!
