Coo-Coo for Coco Puffs!

Actually, I had Special K with Strawberries. But I was Coo-Coo for them. Even the little dried up strawberries during the height of Oregon strawberry season didn't offend my senses.

It is a perfect day outside. I got the guys sent off to work and I'm getting settled to spend some time with Jesus on the front porch.

Yes, it is Monday and I have a ton of things to do. Housework, business things, yard and garden work as well as other projects I've committed to.

But Jesus is calling my name this morning to spend some one on one time together. So my list of things can wait. They'll be there when we're done.

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul." Psalm 143:8

**What are your devotional routines? What does spending time with the Lord look like for you?

That is THE perfect way to spend the morning.

Routines? Ha! I try to 'chat' with Jesus some everyday and hopefully spend some time in His word as well.

Then I LOVE having 'dates' with Him - time alone at the keyboard, singing my love song to Him! (those don't happen terribly often though)

Your morning sounds lovely!

I use to have a better routine than I do now. I want to get back to that.

I would designate my devotional/meditational time without any interruptions allowed. I would just open the Bible without a plan and read. I dated the scripture and wrote some notes. It's nice to go back later to see what it said to me then. I sit and look out at creation and thank God for what He's given us.

Hugs,
Diane

My general places of uninterrupted prayer are in the shower or in my car on the way to work.

I get the Proverbs 31 devotional sent to my cell phone and read it sometimes during the day. It gives me something to try and focus on during the day.

It is such a struggle in my life to set aside designated time for this. Satan just tells me I am too busy and I tend to listen to him. I am ashamed to say.

I cannot honestly say I have a routine for my private time with the Lord. Eric and I make a point of having a devotional time together at night after the kids are asleep (except for the nights when he works til 2am.)

On a good morning, I wake up early enough to have that precious quiet time before the kids start making demands. On the other days?...well, let's just say I pray many times that the little ones will take naps at the same time. And for more than 15 minutes. Otherwise, Mommy has to "go on time-out". ;)

What a great way the start the day! My current time with God is in the evening at the start of my reading time (I read for a good 2 hours each night). I used to try to do it in the morning, but I'm just not very awake then. I want to try to find a balance where I can spend time with God at the beginning AND at the end of the day.
