Out with the old, in with the new.

Does that mean Rod and I have to move out?
No, it does not, my silly friends. It simply means the kitchen counters are finished.
Here are the BEFORE pictures, complete with the dreaded '90s teal counter tops. Which you'll notice, we sawed through in order to put in the tile floors AND the dishwasher.
It's a looong story. Do yourself a favor and don't ask.

I am much happier in warmer colored rooms, I decided. Cool colors are not my thing. Unless it is pistashio ice cream. Then I like it.

GORGEOUS!! What are the new countertops made of? Looks like some sort of stone. Really gives the kitchen a rich, but homey fell. Good job!!

The counters are actually Formica.
Yes, they have updated Formica with tries to look like natural stone.
I'm down with that and very happy with the result.

Your new countertops look like granite! And you said they are actually formica? WOW! They have really updated formica. They are beautiful! What a difference they make! Your kitchen looks so warm and inviting!!! Beautiful!!!
