I'm all teary-eyed! I can only imagine the feeling, but I will experience it soon. My baby will be leaving home to join the Air Force come August. Bittersweet. We are so proud of him, and we encourage, even tell them they MUST, them to join the military and serve their countries before they start their careers and families. It grows them up and teaches them valuable things. But they are still my babies and I don't want them gone.
yay! My husbands name is rod to! I saw one pic where he had camo on! Mine is a HUGE hunter. I relate him to nim-ROD in the bible the mighty hunter before the Lord! LOL! =)
This brought tears to my eyes! What a wonderful reunion! He looks so happy- what a great smile! Congratulations! It must be wonderful having him home!
PS- That black trunk looks awfully familiar. We have a couple of those hiding out in our attic. It brings back memories of my husbands return from Iraq to see the picture of him marching in the door with that. Seems like it was yesterday...
That is so wonderful that your son made it safely home. I am sure you and your family is all giddy about the fact that he is able to spend some time with you. Please thank your son for his sacrifice to serve his country.
I just had to comment on this. Isn't it wonderful to see your loved ones home again!!
My nephew..age 19...was in Iraq for 2 years and when we saw him coming down the hallway at the airport we all screamed, cried and hugged. It was such a emotional moment. Nothing better than a homecoming!!
I don't know you at all...but I'm so happy that your loved one is home, safe and sound!
BTW....I came across your blog from Mrs. Staff Sergeant. I plan to visit again.
These are great pictures...He is alive and well...I know you must be so happy...Welcome home to your son and thank him from me for serving and protecting us...I really appreciate what he has done.
